Love Your Leftovers Festival

It begins with your grocery list.

Each year, an astonishing $31 billion dollars of food is wasted in Canada, with almost half of this wasted at home. The good news is, if we plan better we can save money, keep food out of landfills and reduce greenhouse gas emissions!

March 16, make a ripple, join a wave, and create a better world by learning all about how you can reduce food waste, at the Love your Leftovers Festival.

  • Hear from filmmaker Jenny Rustemeyer, about what it was like to make the highly entertaining and eye-opening food waste documentary “Just Eat It” (12pm-1pm at the Michael Smith Laboratories Lecture Theatre).
