How do you Thrive at UBC?

Has the recent rain marathon dampened your spirits? The answer might very likely be yes. According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 1 in 5 British Columbians will experience a significant mental health problem at some point in their lives. Thrive Week (October 31 – November 4) – a week-long series of events focused on building positive mental health being - is just the ray of sunshine you might be looking for.

Whatever the weather pattern, Thrive Week has a spectacular list of events that will nourish you with all the essential vitamins you need to overcome your rainy blues. There is something planned for everyone, whether you are a staff, faculty, student or a resident. My favourite so far has been the Opera Flash Mob in the CIRS building - my musical moment of the day squeezed between a busy day of work.
