Did you know that the cascading water feature at University Boulevard is actually a stormwater management tool? Did you know that the UBC Opera recycles their sets, transforming them for each performance? How about the fact that UBC has a farm in Agassiz that is used for sustainable farming practices and research?
UBC is a global leader in sustainability and proud of it! From November 4-15, the university is celebrating its commitment to sustainability, with The Ripple Effect UBC. During this time, “ripple labs” will be popping up all around campus, demonstrating some of the strides UBC is taking in promoting sustainable actions in all that we do. Even the tiniest action towards sustainability can make a ripple that leads to a wave that changes the world.
