Acadia Park Community Needs Assessment

As part of the aim to provide a complete community to all on-campus residents, in 2011, UBC Campus and Community Planning and Student Housing and Hospitality Services contracted BC Healthy Communities to conduct a community needs assessment and community asset mapping at Acadia Park.

The Community Needs Assessment & Asset Mapping with Acadia Park Residents Report looked at current programs and services available to Acadia Park and benchmarked them against those available in the City of Vancouver. The goal was to assist UBC in better meeting the needs of student families by identifying community assets as well as any potential gaps in programs and services available to Acadia Park residents.

This assessment involved the collection of valuable feedback from surveys, focus groups and interviews with Acadia Park residents and staff. Recommendations were made based on feedback collected.

The results of the assessment and reports on the progress of recommendations to date can be viewed here.
