With over 9,400 student beds on campus (the largest stock of student housing on a university campus in Canada), students are a large and very important part of the UTown@UBC community!
Over the past few years, UBC has focused on expanding student housing choices; while traditional dorm-style living in Vanier and Totem is still home-sweet-home for many during the school year, shared quads, studios and family housing units offer the changing student body (including undergrads, grad students and student families) more choices than ever!
Several student housing initiatives are currently underway, incluing Ponderosa Commons, a mixed-use building that will bring over 1,100 student beds to campus, and provide spaces for commuter students to connect with the campus as well! We can't wait to welcome all these new student residents to the UTown@UBC community!
